The User menu area contains many routines which can be up for specific users.
User Options allow for user specific overrides of the system default settings defined in Sales Options, Shipping Options, and Purchasing Options. Options will only appear if they are set to Y (Y=yes) in Sales Options, Shipping Options, or Purchasing Options.
How the system is configured is largely controlled within this section. User passwords, user security privileges, user printing preferences (such as assigning default printers for reports, forms, and labels), and system dates can be assigned and/or changed using options within the User section. Information regarding users currently logged into Net•Yield can be viewed using Concurrent Users.
The system's contact management (eContact and eMessages) are found within the User menu. E-mail addresses and contact information can be entered for trading partners and company personnel so that transactions and reports can be sent via email in eContacts – phone numbers and fax numbers can also be entered within this option. eMessages provides users with the ability to use Net•Yield to broadcast text messages, attachments, HTML files, and other stored messages.
The User menu also provides access to free-form labels via the Print Labels option. Users can also access the Forms Designer via the Print Labels option, where labels may be created. See Labels for more information on free-form labels and how to use the label designer.
Users' access to the menus and functions in the system are based on security privileges, which are assigned using the User Security option.
User Settings allow you to establish an email address for the user, and establish various roles for that user.
